Recording "If"

Welcome to my post that will give you instructions on how to record yourself reciting Rudyard Kipling's poem "If."

Before you get started I want you to be aware of two things:

1) All I'm looking for is your best effort. Don't feel the need to start over and over again if you mess up. That will actually mess up this "experiment." I want you to simply read it through and I'm convinced that when you re-record it three weeks from now, you'll see improvements in my your fluency.

2) FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. This is a classwork grade. Make sure you complete the assignment, and that you don't lose your iPad privilege because your were off-task or irresponsible.

Step 1: Stay on this blog post until I give you further instructions

Step 2: Make sure you have your email name and password. Be careful not to lose it and do not share it with anyone

Step 3: Open the Realms of Gold book to page 17.

Step 4: Silently read over the poem, preparing to record yourself.

Step 5: Plug in your headphones; Put them in.

Step 6: Press RECORD

Step 7: Press LEVEL CHECK

Step 8. If it's on the red zone, turn your volume down on your iPad.

Step 9: Press START. If you mess up just keep going! If something happens where you need to stop for a second press PAUSE, not stop.

Step 10: When finished, press STOP

Step 11: Scroll to the bottom and press "Change Title."

Step 12: Change title to your FIRST & LAST Name then IF. Example "Ms. Odeyale If"

Step 13. Press "Save to Google Drive"

Step 16: Press OK

Step 17: Return to the homescreen
